So you want to create a website? You run a small business, or perhaps a club, or perhaps you want to create a website about one of your hobbies? But do you know how to get started? Perhaps you already have a website, but you're not really getting the results you're looking for?
In this presentation, Dan will cover the basics of creating a website from scratch using tools and packages on the web. Most of these tools are free, and a handful require a little money. All kinds of websites are covered, including blogs, shops, discussion boards and general websites (such as one about a society or business).
Getting links to your website is the bread-and-butter of growing a website. Dan will give you the do's and don'ts of link building, as well as tips on tracking your visitors and getting into the search engines. Don't worry if you've never created a website or you have no website development skills. Most of the tools available will handle the technical stuff for you anyway, meaning you can focus on creating your website and making it a success.
If you have any burning questions about creating a website, there's also a dedicated question and answer session where Dan will answer those queries.
Dan runs a large portfolio of websites that he uses as a source of income. His websites range from informational websites to membership websites, and he is always working on a new project. Dan has first-hand experience of creating a website from scratch and growing it into a successful and popular entity. Dan has recently started a website mentoring service where he helps individuals to get the very best from their own websites.
